Loudon County fugitive caught in Illinois

(WBIR - Loudon County) A man wanted in Loudon County on local, state, and federal charges, was extradited from Illinois to East Tennessee this week.  

The Loudon County Sheriff's Office said the investigation into Tee Ray Pellom began in July 2014 after thefts and car burglaries in the Tellico Village and Foothills Pointe areas. He's accused of taking weapons, jewelry and purses. Earlier this month, investigators gathered more information about Pellom while investigating the sexual exploitation of a minor. 

Planned power outages overnight in Lenoir City

(WBIR-Lenoir City) People in Lenoir City should be prepared for possible power outages overnight.

LCUB says they are having a problem at their Lenoir City Downtown Electrical Substation. They will begin work to repair the problem Tuesday night. Power customers could experience outages between 11 pm and into the early morning hours of Wednesday.

The outages could last several hours.

RAM bringing free medical care to Loudon Co. this weekend

(WBIR-Loudon) People in Loudon County will have access to free medical care this weekend.

For the first time in more than a decade, Remote Area Medical (RAM) will set up shop at Loudon High School on Saturday and Sunday to provide medical dental, and vision services for those in need.

Update: Two missing Lenoir City boys found safe

(WBIR) Loudon County authorities say two endangered runaways from Lenoir City were found safe in Roane County by Rockwood police officers on Sunday.

No further details are available at this time.

Authorities are asking the public's help in finding two endangered runaways from Lenoir City. An East Tennessee Endangered Child Alert was issued late Saturday night for 13-year-old Justin Brafford and 10-year-old Thomas Reece.

Woman suffers smoke inhalation in house fire

(WBIR-Lenoir City) A woman was taken to the hospital after a house fire in Lenoir City.

When firefighters arrived at the home on Crooked Oak Drive around 9:40 pm, flames were shooting up from the basement and through the roof.

One woman inside suffered smoke inhalation and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The home was destroyed.

Loudon County looks into jail and courts expansion


(WBIR-Lenoir City) - Loudon County officials are discussing a project that could put county courts and the jail all under one roof.
