This year's flu shots becoming available

Flu season is just around the corner, and already drug stores and doctor's offices have supplies of this year's vaccine.

The shots will be available to patients by the end of the month.

The CDC recommends that people get their shots as soon as possible. It suggests everyone from six months old and older get a yearly vaccine.

One local flu shot clinic opens Tuesday.

Family, friends, and strangers are trying to cope with a tragic fall that killed a young Lenoir City man at the Georgia Dome Friday night.

Isaac Grubb, 20, passed away during surgery just before midnight. The Pelissippi State student was attending the game with friends when he fell 45 feet from the mezzanine level.

Saturday, Grubb's family and friends mourned the tragic loss.

"It's like a horror movie, a nightmare you can't wake up from," said Isaac's Grandmother, Mary Grubb.

A Loudon County community is celebrating a big milestone. The first families moved into Tellico Village 25 years ago.

There were 59 families back in 1987, and now there are 7,000 residents.

The community celebrated the anniversary by burying a time capsule Thursday. It's filled with pictures and other mementos of life in the village.
