We have a lot of talented people in our neck of the woods.  I was lucky enough to meet one of them while picking up my kids from school.  Let me introduce you to Tessa Stockton.

Before settling down in Loudon County, Stockton traveled the globe.  She spent years dancing professionally with missionary organizations.  She often conducted cultural exchange programs with the host countries, allowing her to understand and appreciate other cultures.  This knowledge comes through loud and clear in her debut novel, The Unforgivable, published in 2011 by Risen Press.

The book opens with Genevieve, a quilter from Sweetwater, Tennessee, visiting Argentina to take part in a quilting convention.  She can’t imagine that she will soon meet and fall in love with one of the country’s most notorious war criminals.  As she learns about his past and his unspeakable crimes, she must decide if anything is really unforgivable.

Stockton’s novel deals with hard issues in a real and honest way.  The novel taught me a lot about Argentinean history and made me consider a different aspect of war crimes.

Stockton hasn’t been resting on her laurels since the publication of her first novel.  She currently has several fantasy romance novellas in the works.  Visit her website at http://www.tessastockton.com/index.html for more information.

The Unforgivable is available in paperback or eBook at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and at the Risen Books website, www.dndbooks.com.
